Curriculum Outline
Module 1: Introduction to Case Competitions
Understanding the purpose, structure, and strategic importance of B-school case competitions. Guidance on team formation, competition selection, and techniques for clearing screening rounds and quizzes.
Module 2: Secondary Research
Training in interpreting annual reports, extracting data from credible sources, identifying industry trends, and using strategic frameworks like PESTLE and SWOT. Emphasis on translating findings into structured and insightful presentations.
Module 3: Primary Research
Developing outreach strategies for primary research via LinkedIn and other platforms. Includes techniques for conducting interviews, formulating insightful questions, and organizing qualitative findings into slide-ready formats.
Module 4: Consumer Segmentation and Persona Building
Instruction on identifying target markets, segmenting customer bases, and crafting detailed consumer personas to refine strategic insights and enhance empathy-driven problem-solving.
Module 5: Idea Evaluation and Prioritization
Learning to evaluate multiple solution approaches through strategic frameworks and decision matrices. Focus on balancing innovation with feasibility and impact.
Module 6: Ideation and Conceptualization
Hands-on ideation sessions to foster creative thinking. Training in refining broad concepts into actionable strategies aligned with business objectives.
Module 7: Creative Development
Introduction to design tools and best practices for creating high-impact, visually engaging decks. Instruction on incorporating professional-grade mock-ups and templates.
Module 8: Roadmapping and Execution Planning
Developing strategic roadmaps and execution timelines. Emphasis on creating scalable, phased implementation plans aligned with long-term objectives.
Module 9: Financial Modeling for Case Competitions
Foundational training in competition-specific financial modeling, including forecasting, budgeting, and ROI projections using simplified yet effective tools.
Module 10: Mock Case Study Simulation and Presentation
Application of learning through a full-length case simulation. Teams will work on real-world business problems and present their solutions to a panel for expert feedback and review.
